Sam Pinto: Chose acting than hosting

Sam Pinto: Chose acting than hosting. Sam Pinto, "Pinoy Big Brother" Double Up housemates, turned down an offer to become a host of popular noontime show "Wowowee" to concentrate on her acting career.

"Mayroong offer. Pero I want to concentrate on acting. Kasi hindi ba if I do 'Wowowee' it's everyday so I have no time to do this (acting) na. So I chose acting," Pinto told abs-cbnNEWS.com.

The newbie star said that it is really her dream to be an actress.

Pinto also cleared speculations that she refused to host "Wowowee" because she is being romantically linked with Willie Revillame, the main host.

"No naman really. I just really want to do acting more," Pinto said.

Pinto, who was dubbed "Mrs. Wowowee" after guesting on the show, said she and Revillame remain good friends.

"We are OK. I only see him kapag nag-guest ako. We still say hi pero hindi naman kami nagte-text," the actress said.

Last Saturday, Malaysian star Carmen Soo, Star Magic artist Isabelle Abiera, Jed Montero and model Kelly Misa were named as new co-hosts of Wowowee.

Currently, Pinto is gearing up for her newest TV project "Elias Paniki" with former suitor Jake Cuenca.

Pinto said that she's happy with her new project and comfortable working with Cuenca who is now a good friend.

Pinto is one of the ex-housemates of Pinoy Big Brother Double Up edition.
