We declare her our global winner again this year, reaffirming our faith that, yes, she is really a woman. Doubts arose after tabloid Weekly World News reported that she was born Mitchell Reed Fox who made the rounds of the pageant circuit before her (his) parents had her (him) go through sexual reassignment surgery at 16. Controversy sparked shortly after the news was unleashed on the web. All of it, we still maintain, biologically natural.

3. MARIAN RIVERA

Let’s not get too embroiled in all the controversies Marian has gotten herself. Neither should we be punishing ourselves too much that, almost a year after we declared her our No. 1, she still hasn’t appeared on our cover—we have the morality clause in her endorsement deals to blame for that. Instead, we continuously look for that one thing we found most appealing in the first place and will love about her each time. We at FHM know we love this often-overlooked fact: She is a college graduate. An AB Psychology major at De La Salle University-Dasmariñas who finished her degree before she even became famous and interned at the National Center for Mental Health. When this whole showbiz gig blows over, Marian can go back to being human knowing she had her head intact the whole time.

4. ANGEL LOCSIN

More delicious now than she has ever been, Angel has been on the top 10 of the 100 Sexiest List every year for six consecutive years since her inclusion in 2003. Her stats so far: Tenth in ’03. Sixth in ’04. Captured the top spot in ’05. Occupied third place twice in ’06 and ’07. A notch down in ’08. And now: still in the top five. Even more amazing: If her raunchy billboards for a clothing company and a beauty clinic strewn along Edsa are any indication, she has more to give. And if her timing is right, she might just go on to capture the top spot again. Who knows, maybe next year? Two years from now? How long can she stay voluptuous and desirable? Answer: It will not be forever, but it will be very long…

5. KATRINA HALILI

Before, we would be writing this with nothing but the best possibilities for Katrina. Now, we’re not so sure. How it will all turn out for our darling after the scandal is unknown, even to us. But this is certain: She is a victim and therefore has nothing to apologize for her actions. Her trust was betrayed and she is unjustly made to bear the full shame of it. She is fighting to save her dignity and we are behind her all the way.

6. IWA MOTO

A little bit on the quiet side now after making noise in two well-received covers, we thought it strange to see her strutting her stuff in, of all places, an afternoon soap. Would an FHM man worth his hormone be caught dead watching at this time of day, right after Daisy Siyete and just before 24 Oras? Definitely not. So who benefits from Iwa Moto at such ungodly hours? A secret legion of male afternoon loafers who vote because, as you can see, Iwa is still high on the list. The gentlemen of midday leisure have spoken!

7. EHRA MADRIGAL

Vital stats: 36-25-36. The collusion of these three precious numbers has given Ehra a couple of fine things: two FHM covers; a coveted spot in the top 10 on the 100 Sexiest list; becoming a Tanduay calendar girl; a chance to work with Robin Padilla in the primetime telenovela Totoy Bato. But the first “36” in the statistics, powering the pair of toploaders that have opened the doors for Ehra, is also weighing her down. The result: a bad back. Good thing she’d rather have the back fixed.

8. ANNE CURTIS

What say we stake a vigil for a vigil and hunger strike for Anne Curtis eventual appearance on an FHM cover? We could sit it out and chant her name and refuse any food save for water until she is convinced she must do our cover. To top the stakes, we'll pair water with GSM Blue and drink ourselves shitless till she says yes. It could take years. Our livers will surely go to waste. But we are prepared to do anything.

9. ANGELICA PANGANIBAN

Who would have thought that Bobot Mortiz, Johnny Delgado, Christopher De Leon and the late Jay Ilagan’s Goin’ Bananas spirit would be resurrected in Angelica and the other fine, sultry ladies (Valerie, Roxanne, RR) on this list? We thank both Banana Split producers and Ms. Panganiban’s good genes for this brilliant meeting of the minds. It’s always a pleasure seeing her make an oddball of herself—in skimpy outfits, of course. And yes, that includes her Kris Aquino impersonation.

10. PAULEEN LUNA

Who would think that a toothless cute little girl who joined Little Miss Philippines more than a decade ago would be Tito, Vic and Joey’s biggest and hottest catch? If there’s a reason many people can’t get a nice nap during siesta time, it would probably be hot wacky Eat Bulaga co-host Pauleen. Seeing a hot chick do some weird antics on the tube is something that cannot be forgotten even after the final credits of Eat Bulaga. Wait till she surprises us next.

Cowell, who reportedly made $36 million last year for judging the hit competition show, has been offered three or four times that amount -- between $100 million and $144 million per year -- by co-producers Fox and 19 Entertainment to stick with "Idol" when his contract expires next May, according to The Guardian, a London newpaper.

Fox declined yesterday to comment about the salary negotiations.

While $36 million may seem like a lot of money for five months worth of snarky comments and eye-rolls, it's only a fraction of the estimated $900 million that "Idol" rakes in a year. As the lynchpin of the show -- without him there would be no one to hate and no dramatic tension with Paula Abdul-- Cowell believes he's due for a raise.

To get more of the pie, he's been leaning on long-time friend and UK retail multibillionaire Sir Philip Green -- who owns hot fashion franchise Top Shop -- for help negotiating the terms of what would be a new "Idol" contract, reports say. Green is said to be lobbying hard for an increase in Cowell's appearance fee on the show.

Sources close to the two friends say that this is just the first step to the creation of an international TV production, talent management and merchandising company, which would put Cowell in a position to actually make money off his ideas and the talent he discovers, not just reap a salary for having his mug on screen.

"This is about properly owning himself, Brand Cowell, everything he does, new formats and new programs, not just the ones starring him," a source close to Green told The Guardian.

Entertainment wiz Cowell, who signed international "popera" act Il Divo, is likely to run the creative end while Green, Britain's ninth wealthiest person, will focus on financial issues.

"Idol" is only one of Cowell's TV contracts which are on the verge of expiring. His three-year deal, which spawned hits "Britain's Got Talent" and "The X-Factor," with UK's ITV, ends this year.

MICHAEL JACKSON's skin cancer is treatable. The 50-year-old Beat It singer was diagnosed with the disease in recent weeks. Experts found spots of skin cancer on his upper body and pre-cancerous cells on his face.

But the pop legend WILL be fit to perform his £150million comeback gigs at London’s O2 Arena from July. And aides say he is looking forward to the 50 sell-out shows — amid predictions they will be his most spectacular ever.

A source said: “Michael’s tests showed spots of skin cancer on his body, and cells which could turn to skin cancer on his face.

“He was at first very concerned, but says he has been assured by the doctors that they can treat this and he will recover.

“Michael is really looking forward to his concerts and is determined to wow his fans at each and every gig.

“He said he’s insisted that any treatment must fit around the concerts, and the show will go on.”

Jacko, who has been seen making regular visits to his Beverly Hills dermatologist wearing a mask and surgical cap, received the shock diagnosis last month.

He was seen on April 22 at Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles, which has a specialist lab to test for such diseases.

The star’s Escalade motor was involved in an incident as it arrived to pick him up.

It is believed Jacko will be treated by Cambridge-educated Dr Ralph Massey, an award-winning cosmetic and skin cancer surgeon based in Santa Monica.

It is thought the star’s condition may be linked to his vitiligo, a disease that affects pigmentation.

The US Federal Drug Administration has previously warned of a risk of skin cancer from skin bleaching treatments.

While Jacko strongly denies ever using skin bleaching products, an eBay sale claiming to be of his belongings last year included a used tube of the cream.

Jackson has promised organisers of his eagerly-anticipated 02 gigs that he is fully fit to perform — and is believed to have passed a series of medical tests.

He is currently involved in intense rehearsals in LA — working through gruelling dance routines for the two-hour-plus concerts in his This Is It tour.

They will feature more than 22 different sets, numerous costume changes — and a dance move to rival his famous moonwalk.

Jacko’s closest aides insist he is in good health and looking forward to the concerts.

Business manager Dr Tomhe recently said he had only taken time out of the spotlight to care for his children — Prince, 11, Paris Katherine, ten, and Prince Michael II, five.

Speaking after Jackson appeared at a London press conference to announce his concert dates, Dr Tomhe said: “He’s come back to put an end to all the bulls*** rumours about his health.

“I think he has answered his critics. He is back to his old self - he’s fine, and couldn’t be in better shape. He was away for all this time because he was dedicating his life to his children and being a single parent.”

Tomhe is adamant that Jackson will use his comeback concerts to prove his doubters wrong.

He added: “It was his idea because he misses his fans and his fans have missed him.

“He is very excited and the shows this summer are going to be more spectacular than ever before.”

Concert promoters AEG Live International insist the star had passed a full medical before signing for the live shows.

Company president Rob Hallett said: “He’s fitter than I’ll ever be. His cholesterol levels, his blood, everything was perfect and we got the insurance.”

Paramedic Jamin Mauro and his partner were idling outside the hospital when a black Cadillac Escalade hit their ambulance, knocking off a mirror.

The driver then walked to the hospital doors with an umbrella and met Jacko, Mauro said.

The car is said to have driven away after the star jumped in. Beverly Hills cops acknowledged the collision. Mauro said he and his partner were upset the driver did not wait to swap details.

Mauro said: “I don’t know if Jackson told him to leave or not, but they should have stayed.”

Earlier this year we revealed the star, who has had a string of health problems, had been treated for an MRSA-style skin infection.

He denied earlier claims by his biographer Ian Halperin he was suffering from a lung disease.

He was treated for back pain during his 2005 trial, when he was cleared of child molestation charges.

Tampa police said Mays' wife found him unresponsive Sunday morning. A fire rescue crew pronounced him dead at 7:45 a.m. It was not immediately clear how he died. He said he was hit on the head when an airplane he was on made a rough landing Saturday, and his wife, Deborah Mays, told investigators he didn't feel well before he went to bed about 10 p.m. that night.

There were no signs of a break-in at the home, and investigators do not suspect foul play, said Lt. Brian Dugan of the Tampa Police Department, who wouldn't answer questions about how Mays' body was found because of the ongoing investigation. The coroner's office expects to have an autopsy done by Monday afternoon.

"Although Billy lived a public life, we don't anticipate making any public statements over the next couple of days," Deborah Mays said in a statement Sunday. "Our family asks that you respect our privacy during these difficult times."

U.S. Airways confirmed that Mays was among the passengers on a flight that made a rough landing on Saturday afternoon at Tampa International Airport, leaving debris on the runway after apparently blowing its front tires.

Tampa Bay's Fox television affiliate interviewed Mays afterward.

"All of a sudden as we hit you know it was just the hardest hit, all the things from the ceiling started dropping," MyFox Tampa Bay quoted him as saying. "It hit me on the head, but I got a hard head."

Tampa police spokeswoman Laura McElroy said linking Mays' death to the landing would "purely be speculation." She said Mays' family members didn't report any health issues with the pitchman, but said he was due to have hip replacement surgery in the coming weeks.
