On dating: “I had better success meeting girls before Titanic. My interactions with them didn’t have all the stigma behind it, not to mention there wasn’t a perception of her talking to me for only one reason.” (He’s currently dating Israeli model Bar Refaeli.)

On dealing with his Titanic fame: “It was like there was a separate entity out there. Not to use a James Cameron reference, but it was like being in a little bit of an avatar. (cringes) That’s going to sound extremely self-indulgent. It’s going to sound like, ‘Oh, I was a frickin’ avatar,’ give me a break, I’m already vomiting.”

"Depende pa rin." LJ says her FHM shoot had limitations pa rin naman. "Yes, I did show some more skin, pero it doesn't mean naman na papayag na ako na 'yung roles ko or 'yung costume or whatever ay maging bastusin 'yung dating ko."

But there is one thing that LJ wants to try to do—something she's suggesting sa staff ng SOP Fully Charged para sa One Time Only segmet.

FHM's December issue is already available where magazines are sold. LJ will also have a radio tour on December 9, mula hapon hanggang Boys Night Out. And on December 11, she will be at Robinsons Galleria at around 4 in the afternoon para sa autograph signing.

LJ has to say about it: "Mga Kapuso, please buy FHM December issue; ako po 'yung cover. Matutuwa naman po kayo sa pictures, promise. And 'yung article po, maaaliw lang kayo sa akin. Promise, matatawa talaga kayo sa akin. Parang ako lang talaga pag nagsasalita."

Many had predicted that her career would fizzle out after her unexpected pregnancy at age sixteen. Valerie, appears on the cover of FHM for the second time this October, has proven everyone wrong. She was able to bounce back and what critics thought would destroy her career ended up being the fuel she needed to accelerate her life to full speed.

It wasn't easy to bounce back into showbiz after her pregnancy. Valerie is thankful that Wowowee came along. But, although hosting may have paved the way for a new career, she admits that acting, her first love, has undeniably taken a backseat.

"For the longest time nagho-host ako kaya ang feeling ko, nakalimutan ko nang umarte," she tells FHM.

Val got the opportunity of a lifetime when she bagged a starring role in an afternoon soap, but the project was shelved, "I'm sad about it but I'm not dwelling on it, maybe it was not meant for me."

The soap may not have been meant for her, but perhaps Mr. Right is just waiting in the wings. Valerie who charms millions of viewers daily also seems to attract athletes and musicians in the dating scene.

"Parang feeling ko, sa showbiz, ang malapit sa world mo, bands," Valerie says, revealing that she has a crush on singer Richard Poon. "Dahil ba single mom ako I can't have crushes anymore?" she points out, "I don't care what other people say as long as I know I'm not doing anything wrong."

Valerie reveals more skin and exudes way more confidence in her second appearance on FHM compared to her first back in 2006. She is such a hot momma that FHM staff jokes she could still grace their cover once her daughter Fiona turns 18. Would she be open to a mother-daughter cover? She laughs and says, "Naku, malayo pa yun, hindi ko pa iniisip na tatanda na siya... Now I'm just enjoying her as a child."

The October issue of FHM featuring Valerie Concepcion on the cover is now available in newsstands, bookstores, and supermarkets nationwide at only P125 per copy.

Sa press conference para sa September 2009 issue ng FHM na ginanap noong August 31, sa Hotel Intercontinental Makati, ay ikinuwento ni Cristine ang mga nangyari sa kanyang pictorial na ginawa sa kahabaan ng South Luzon Expressway (SLEX).

"Noong ginagawa na yung shoot sa SLEX, sobrang relax lang lahat. Nagkaroon pa ng time na parang uulan at umulan nga! Lahat kami nagpi-pray. So, ang ginawa ko, nag-sundance ako dun! Ginaya ko na lang si Sarah Geronimo [sa A Very Special Love]! Pero ano, sobrang okey lahat, sobrang smooth," lahad ni Cristine.

Kung ire-recall ang first pictorial ni Cristine sa FHM two years ago—August 2007—parang hirap na hirap siya to the point na naiyak pa siya habang ginagawa ang pictorial. Pero ngayon, mas kumportable na ba siya?

"Kasi yung una, yung cover ko sa FHM, yun talaga ang first ko. So, talagang kinakabahan pa ako nun. Hindi pa ko sanay na mag-pose nang sexy, na naka-bikini, kaya medyo mahirap.

"This September issue, tuwang-tuwa ako. Kasi yung kinalabasan ng first, sobrang ganda! So, mas ready na ako dahil marami na rin akong nagawa before. Mas confident na rin ako sa sarili ko, at nandoon yung tiwala ko sa FHM, kasi magaling sila. Aminin na natin yun," sabi ng young sexy actress.

Napa-"Ganun?" si Cristine nang hingan namin ng reaction sa sinabi ni Robin Padilla—na ka-back-to-back cover niya sa September issue ng FHM—na maganda raw ang mga mata niya at nakikita ng action star ang sarili nitong reflection.

"Compliment ba yun? Thank you," nakangiting sabi ni Cristine.

MOVIE WITH RICHARD. Bukod sa pagiging FHM cover girl, si Cristine na ang ka-partner ni Richard Gutierrez sa horror film na Patient X under Viva Films and GMA Films. Pinalitan ni Cristine si Heart Evangelista na nagka-appendicitis at kinailangang operahan.

May balita na kesyo nagkabulol-bulol daw si Richard nang makita siya sa shooting. Totoo ba ito?

"Well, siguro kasi, ang tagal naming hindi nagkita ni Richard, e. So, siguro ngayon lang ulit niya ako nakita. Pareho kaming parang, 'Uy, kumusta ka na?' Although noong first take namin, medyo nangangapa-ngapa pa siya," kuwento ni Cristine, na nagsimula sa GMA-7.

Nagkanda-bulol nga ba si Richard?

"Oo, medyo," nakangiting sabi ni Cristine.

How does she find Richard?

"Sa shooting, mabait naman siya. Kapag nagsi-setup, palagi kaming magkausap. And yun, minsan naiilang ako kasi nakakailang. Parang sobra siyang makatingin. Parang, 'May dumi ba ako sa mukha?' Sinabi ko talaga sa kanya yun na grabe siyang makatingin."

Ano ang naramdaman niya nang malaman niyang siya ang ipinalit kay Heart bilang leading lady ni Richard?

"Noong nalaman ko, parang, 'Anong movie 'to?' Kasama ko nga raw si Richard Gutierrez. Ah, Richard... GMA Films, tapos Viva Films. So, noong malaman ko ang role, sobrang natuwa ako kasi very challenging siya.

"Sobrang happy ako kasi ako ang naisip nila. Sobrang maraming puwedeng ipalit, ako pa? At saka, thankful din ako kay Tita Annabelle [Rama, mother and manager of Richard], at thank you rin ako sa lahat... Kay Direk Yam Laranas, kay Chard, sa manager ko, and sa lahat."

Marami ang nakakapansin na kapag walang lovelife si Cristine, tulad ngayon, ay saka naman gumaganda ang career niya.

"Oo, parang ganoon na nga ang nangyayari," pagsang-ayon niya. "Kasi, mas may time ka sa sarili. So, lahat-lahat, tanggap ka lang nang tanggap."

Hindi kaya dahil di magaan ang mga nagiging relationship niya?

"Siguro kasi, seryoso ako kapag na-in love. Siguro sa ngayon, mas gusto ko na lang na magsaya. Na single ako," sabi ni Cristine.

STILL A KAPAMILYA. Sa September 10 ay pupunta si Cristine sa Korea para sa Seoul International Drama Awards, kung saan nominated siya bilang Best Actress para sa kanyang teleserye noon sa ABS-CBN na Eva Fonda. Makakalaban niya rito ang ilang aktres sa Korea at ibang bansa.

"Sana manalo, ipagdarasal ko 'yan. Pero, siyempre, ma-nominate ka pa lang dun, di ba, wow!" sambit niya.

Naging open si Cristine noon sa kagustuhan niyang bumalik ulit sa GMA-7. Pero kung titingnan, tila lahat ng magagandang nangyari sa career niya ay nangyari noong nasa ABS-CBN niya. Ano ang masasabi niya rito?

"Oo, tama... So, kaya nga na-realize ko na mag-stay. Dito ko na-experience lahat ng gusto kong mangyari sa career ko. Sobrang thankful nga ako sa career ko dahil hindi nila ako pinabayaan kahit na anong mangyari."

Ang next project ni Cristine sa ABS-CBN ay ang bagong episode ng Precious Hearts Romances, kung saan siya ang gaganap sa role ni Jewel Fortalejo.

On being the voice of Gossip Girl: “I’m very proactive with my career. And when I heard about Gossip Girl, I called someone at the network and asked if I could do something on it. At that time, I didn’t have a job, and I’m not just some idiot who wants to hang out in L.A. — I want to work.”

On love and her relationship with comedian/actor Dax Shephard: “Every woman in her 20s goes through a period where she just doesn’t believe love is out there anymore, but it is. And I think the minute you stop looking for it is when it comes for you.”

Kristen Bell wants us to help her groom her dog. At least, that’s what her publicist tells us...but we don’t really believe she’ll actually be wielding shears. Kristen has starred in hit movies like Forgetting Sarah Marshall, has been a regular on TV shows like Heroes, and is the deliciously wicked narrator of Gossip Girl — we figure she’ll just stand to the side while some high-priced doggie stylist to the stars ties pink ribbons in her pooch’s hair.

But when we arrive at her house in the Hollywood Hills, we’re greeted by Lola, an adorably fluffy chow chow–corgi mix, and Kristen — hair in a ponytail, dressed in an old pair of jeans and a bright blue hoodie. Soon we’re hunkered down on the hardwood floor of her spacious living room, looking on as Kristen trims Lola to look like a lion.

As she shaves in a poofy mane, the 29-year-old Michigan native talks about hanging out in her amazing house, where she likes to host American Idol parties. “On the nights when we’re all together,” she begins, “my roommates and I all cook dinner.”

Hold on. Doing her own dog trimming is one thing, but roommates? Um, can’t she afford to live alone?
